Fished couple of days ago, prom north end, from low water, from 3pm, upto about an hr after dark, so about 5 hrs fishing, warm sunny day, very calm sea, had live rag, razor, sand eel, just one dog fish near dusk on rag, he did put up a good fight though, one other missed bite, that was all, a bit slow.

We are in dire need of surf on these beaches at the moment! They are typically dead (apart from woofers) when it's flat calm. Nice NW chop is ideal :)

or just gale force winds for 3 or 4 days solid, soon puts some life and colour in the water
No - just a close-in chop will do splendidly! Look - Irish Sea for Sunday :)

Wind Mainly west or southwest 3 or 4. Weather Mainly fair. Visibility Moderate or good, occasionally poor. Sea State Slight or moderate.
Now THAT's better :)
