Got to cast a t800 the other night when out for a walk with the misses, which impressed her no end lol....
Was a lovely rod to cast with a nice smooth load and looked to have a lovely tip.
Guess the 900 is a beefed up version?

Yes Mart, Im very well thanks, hope you are the same. The T900 is more powerful with a tip action. Im still getting to know it, but it is superb and reaching some great distances. Bite detection is excellent. Regards Mark

Both would do it fine but the 900 has a lot more power, the 900 is a classic J curve. Its a high power rod with a great tip, the power is very usable and only there if needed. The 800 is a perfect clean ground match rod.

 

T900 soaking up the tide, great tip and bags of power.

I think the bullet get is more powerful in my mind I think the century t900 casts realy well but I find it a little under powered in the tip section to haul 3 dogs up the rocks maybe it's me not used to the glass tip but I find it really bends over lifting the fish up compared to some of my other rods ie big beach hst tts tournament match gp

 

The bullet gt and T900 share a very similar s glass tip, the butt on the bullet is shorter and much stiffer. The T900 butt is more than powerful enough. I sold my bullets and replaced them with T900, prefer the equal sections. Both will cast 200g and a very large bait. The rings in the T900 won't rust but you might want to get high build on the decals. Shop around for T900 for best prices

 

I read this thread and the shortlist of 'my next rod' just got even longer.

 

Trouble with those soft tipped rods is that when you get any waves the tips bounce around too much.

I love my bullet gts but thinking if the t900s will do everything they will do and are equal sections with slimmer blanks maybe it's the way to go,but I don't want to go any softer in the tip because the bullet gts have got a powerful glass tip which holds up in wind,surf or when pulling in weed ect

 

That tip looks a good one for braid use.

The T900 and bullet GT which vary in stiffness, tips are very similar, the T900 Glass runs a little lower into the tip. The picture I posted showed the T900 in a very strong tide.
