only a result if its worth more than 7 quid. i cant offer any advice on value but there is a vortex coarse rod on ebay at the moment that might be worth keeping an eye on

My first rod was a Vortex. Green glass with orange whipping. Fixed metal reel seat. Good pier rod if your alternaitve as a kid was a hand line.

I think it was 'tooled up' with a Penn Seaboy??

I've seen lots of this type of rod at car boots (I do a lot of car boots).

They never get sold.

Maybe good for propping up the washing line?

Hi Loose Goose, as some one said its a good starter rod and for £7.00 I am happy with it and if a nice big fish of some type ends up on dry land with so much the better regards Pete

i had a vortex beach caster about 45 years ago, used it with a mitchell 600p
it was brown in colour and served its purpose. then.

I got a Bruce&Walker 11ft stepped up carpy rod glass one for £5 valued @£70 plus as rare rod so never know what you can find

Talking to a fella on chesil a few months back his "bass rod" had a familiar weave it. It was an armalite, didn't have century printed on it, it had Simpsons written on it. Immaculate 13ft 3.5lb century armalite MK1 custom made made by Simpsons of Turnford, probably £120 minimum or to him 99p in a car boot sale in Devon. Jammy sod.
