even though it was friday the 13th we had a good sesh in walney channel got there about 5.00 nice hot afternoon used lug and rag
left about 8.00 in that time 3 of us had 23 codling and i plaice which was about 2lb
the codling were all about the same size as in the pics





in all had a good day

Good pics and nice report, get that plaice in the specimen thread, it belongs there.

hi mate we park in a car park on the right hand side of jubille bridge next to some offices then walk down by the side of the bridge and follow the beach til it open up on to sand and any where round there:)

didnt you have any crab mate this nomaly works better than worm bait as the channel crabs nock hell out of them. just been ont phone to a mate from barrow
he had a good session last wed, 11 codling & plaice. all on crab,

no mate was a spur of the moment thing
seems like all the places i used to go is full of traps now :(
a good little spot to look where not to many people go is the rock mass in front of the carpark at hernsea bay holiday park. been there myself and got enough for a session. you can also get lug were the sand starts, bit hard digging but the worms are good. hope this is of some use to you mate.
