Stopped at the club hut and started fishing about 1030. By 1230 we hadn't had a bite. Sea was dead, very little run and coloured.
Made a run for our social club for a pint or two in Braintree.
Maybe things will improve next week on the bigger tides.

I hope that you enjoyed the day, even if the fish didn't show, and that you do find the fish in a feeding mood next time. Was it busy on the pier, today?

Looking forward to reading about your further adventures,

Hi Stu
I dont know if you remember colin myself my lad thomas we met you at the end about a year ago ( I think ). we fished there tuesday from 9am til 18.30 and had 9 mini pout, 2 eels and 2 schoolies between the 3 of us using £35 worth of bait.
Thats peelers, rag, squid as well as prawn and pout live bait caught in a couple of drop nets. Talking to a couple of locals they said that the pier has fished poorly since the last big tides.
I was hoping to catch you again and was looking out for your reports.

Hi, Eddie.Yes, I remember you. Didn't Thomas catch an enormous edible crab? I try and get down there once a fortnight. Give me a pm next time you're going.

Hi,SC.

No. Very few fishing. Obviously the clever anglers knew there was knack all about!! A young lady fishing near the lifeboat had a word with us on her way to the burger bar and they were only getting tiny pouting. I wouldn't have minded some of them, mind, to break the monotony!!The sea needs a stir up.

All the best,

Stu.

Is it me, or has the weather really been [email protected] ever since you bought that boat?!
