After reading a post from stufish and seeing that the wind report was too strong for my boat, again. I decided to give the pier a try. High tide was at about 16.30. Got there at 9 and was the only person on there, headed straight to the end. Had to wait until 13.30 for my first bit, which resulted in a pout. I had 2 more of these, and then about 14.30 i had a better pull on the rod tip, this resulted in my first codling of the season, with another one straight after. Nothing big, but its a start. Left at 16.15 as i had ran out of bait, crabs were a pain. Final count was 2 codling 1 whiting and 5 pout, not a great day, but at least not a blank. Weather was sunny but the wind was a bit chilling as it was blowing from, left to right accross the end of the pier.:cold:

Well done, Tom. The wind was the same when I was down there. At least you had a few fish to keep you occupied.

Stu.
