Having had some good advice via Pm from welshcaster and one of the lads in Anglers corner. Spent the morning tying one of these . Had to use an old fashioned Pike bung float as I didn't have any really large cigar floats. However it took a 2 ounce weight ok. Tied the rig ok a bit shorter than what was suggested and with 4lbs bs snoods on to size 2 circle hooks.. Off down to BP this evening to try it out. Pleased to say it appeared to work ok no obvious tangles and although I didn't catch anything I now have another rig to use.Casting was a bit tricky but as long as I concentrated it was ok.
As Welshwarrior said on another thread it appears as if the macky shoals have broken up as I spoke to three different guys who had been down there for about 3-4 hours and hadn't had a touch.!

Rog,are these rigs the same as the fresh water version? If they are and you google 'washing line rig+fishing' there's loads of info.Don't know if it will be of any help.
