Fishing out of Watchet on the 1st weekend of July been told were targeting Tope and Hounds just wanted to see what suggestions people can give of end tackle? I will be uptiding most probably so i have in my mind running ledger with a 100lb hook length with a 6-8oz grip lead. Thanks in advance

for tope i would use a varivas big mouth extra 8/0 to 150lb mono around 4 ft trace.
for smoothies a varivas big mouth 4/0 or mustad viking to 40lb amnesia 4 ft trace.
what boat are you out on?

weekend of 2/3 july fairly small tides.uptiding 6-10oz leads.downtiding anything from 4oz-1lb depending on what depth of water and state of tide.
fished on scooby doo too in february.excellent boat and a good skipper you should have a good day.
