Hi Guys,

Having popped down to the boat the other day I found that my cover had ripped badly and that I had gained five or six inches of rain water in the boat. Soon pumped this out, and I have now got an auto swicth to add to the bilge pump but I now need to make another cover.

Any ideas on the best fabric to use that will be waterproof and able to withstand the elements and not cost the earth.

Cheers, John

Thanks guys thats really helpful and now I can point the boss in the right direction, as she will do the sewing side of things for me. When I got the boat it had the frame for a full overhead canopy but no actual canopy and she managed to make a really decent bimini / full overhead canopy but as we suddenly got a mooring the rain cover was a quick knock up job that has only lasted a year.

Once again thanks guys

John
