Hi all im pretty new to lrf fishing and am looking to find my feet this year....im thinking on trying weedless jigheads and lures but was wondering if they really are as good as people say they are or are they a bit of a fad?

If there any good does anyone on here do them in weedless?

cheers once again

Hey zanderman,

Weedless rigging is by no means a fad but does require the angler to properly bury the hook point and ensure it is still buried before it is cast. I’m not sure what others would say but I tend not to use swivels / clips when fishing a weedless setup either as these can become snagged just as easily as a hook.

If there’s a weed less jig head out there that works I’d love to know about it!! The hook isn’t the problem a lot of the time, it’s the weed running down the line and then snagging on the jighead!!! Happens every time :frown:

Weedless, I usually go with a texas/carolina rig with a bullet sinker and offset hook. But recently got a pack of these ...

Yet to try them out, but they do look decent. Don't remember who, but someone else on here has fished with them.
