great rod my mate as one and the red dragon

 

Excellent rod for mixed to rough ground, quite light aswell with a slim but powerful butt. I find mine a bit much for clean ground but I know of others that use them for nearly all fishing ground types.

 

Great rod m8 just got my lad one 2nd hand great alrounder as you would expect from CONOFLEX................!

 

i own 2 conoflex welsh wizards and are perfect for rough/mixed ground venue, from ranny/foreshore, but on clean beaches might be a tad stiff.... you need a good casting style to compress correctly...

im under the understanding it was built for the welsh coastline ,opitmum casting 5-6oz 13' long clean to mixed ground rod ,just trying to find out the actual rod weight cheers

Cono-flex Welsh Wizard. It's been designed to cast leads between 5-6oz although it will cast more. The rod needs a good style to get the best out of it. Very stiff tip, bite detection not great but the rods well suited to rock fishing.

The welsh wizard was actually made in 2 lengths, 13' and also 12'9", with the 12'9" version being slightly more powerful according to conoflex. I've used both and didn't find a big difference though.

 

well mine has been great had it now about 10 years got about 30 others all great rods Abu diawa conoflex jst love my fishing been il for a while but getting back into my fishing and shooting
