Arrived at West Bexi car park just after 07:30 AM
Paid my £4.20 and walked the path to the right of the car park for 10 mins or so.

After 7 hours of fishing I can report the following:

Zilch
Feck all

Baits = rag, peeler + squid in various combinations

Spider crabs weren't too much of a problem and only lost 1 hook throught the day.

Was targeting plaice and tried a variety of rigs/baits, close in and at far range, but no joy.

Really didn't expect to blank given the conditions, but maybe the wind still having some easterly in it might have been a factor. Any ideas ?

Yep, that figures & thanks for the info.

Bit frustrating for me now being based inshore in that im not in touch with what's going on currently, and have to rely on my past fishing diary records. (Going back a few years)

So that's plaice fishing off Chesil pretty much finished forever then, given that the trawling is never likely to stop. They'll keep doing it year after year until it's all gone.
