went fishing to cockenzie power station on saturday with iceman, the place was heaving due to the good weather,we fished the rocks to the right of the harbour, iceman was spinning and i was bait fishing for a while but the fish were not biting ,all the baits came in untouched so i started spinning, iceman had foul hooked a tiny flatty so there must be fish there i thought, the days catch.....2 crabs,1 starfish, 1 prawn, 2 tiny flatfish (foulhooked),1 mussel and lots of small clams attached to the hooks of the spinners which supprised us no end,i lost one spinner but pulled in a huge ammount of line with a weight, plug and eel attached to it which made up for the loss....
if only i could do that every time....other than that we did not see one fish landed,it was just good to get out and wet a line....
tight lines....or as the old bait digger said this saturday........tight rods.....:notworthy well it made me laugh
