Haven't been able to get out for a couple of months so by the time we arrived at the car park (to find the pay and display was still out of order, always a bonus) we were more than ready to get started. We set up on the beach about 150 yards along the cliffs for about 15.30. The sea was fairly calm and the wind was mostly from behind us and we pulled out the first fish within 10 minutes of casting in. We were catching reasonably steady over the high tide and down towards the bottom but things began to slow down at around 22.00 so we got a couple of hours sleep before we stated again for the morning tide.

The temperature dropped a bit overnight and the wind had picked up a bit when we started again at 3.00 and we were getting less bites than we had the last tide but they were stil biting. Not a lot of crab activity though there were a number of snags. By the time we packed up at 9.00 we'd had 16 whiting, 2 dab and a weaver, though only half a dozen were worth keeping, the others were all borderline, so threw them back.
