We tried to get down in time for middle of the flood tide but so it seemed did the rest of the south of England. Roads leading into Brighton were jammed solid. My normal 45min journey took over 2 hours. When we arrived at the marina things did not improve as the car parks were full and the clampers were having a field day. When we eventually got onto the west arm it was too crowded and anglers leaving told of dire results, so we gave up and went to Seaford. Nothing much happened there. Out of 10 anglers one person caught 5 mackies and the rest blanked.
