year round, but to have a chance
I need some clear water..
Our top local bass angling guru
has them all winter long on crab bait
So they are there.
I will be out march onwards+++

We have the same here in the river, loads of bass but getting the water clear enough to use lures is the hard bit.

I was out in March last year, mainly from desperation. Reckon I'll leave it a bit longer this year. Probably April, but see what the conditions are like.

Haven't caught a Bass since Jan 4.
Done probably six blanks now, daytime/nightime over low and after dark over high ... had a week or so off to finish Tax Return and sort out some pressing chores .

Missed a weather slot to fish Portland Bill on run up to last weekend

More Lows pushing thru' atm .. but there were a lot of birds working baitfish shoals here today... so I have a plan!

Out again tomorrow!
