Will be heading down west Wales for the next bank holiday and would like to have a go for Bass. Would any local tackle shops have any peeler or would i be better off getting my own off a beach. If so how do i identify a peeler. Also how do you go about killing them.

All the shops should have them, if you want to get your own look under rocks and seaweed - but remember to put any rocks back as you found them (if you turn them over any weed on them dies and as it decays it poisons the area under the rock, so no more crab next time). Gently twist and pull the last section of one of the rear legs, if it comes away to reveal the new soft shell underneath - it's a peeler. Before peeling just stick a knife between the eyes.
