I am currently kitting myself out for my first season of boat fishing.

I will probably spend the few trips I do make this summer just gaining some boating experience and knowledge so will try and keep the fishing itself as simple as possible targeting mackerel etc.

I am tempted to use my 10ft boat pike rods & reels but am wary of ruining them with the salt. As such I am looking to get a couple of 15-20lb class rods but would much prefer to use them with fixed spool reels.

I am not really looking at spending anymore than £100 per rod (ideally less) but despite there being a plethora on the internet I am struggling to find anything that is correctly rung for fs reels. Can any of you guys point me in the right direction?

Thanks
