Been tough going so far , even the known cod marks have been hard going searching for the fabled unicorn/cod , conditions were perfect tonight surely!

Reached my mark at 7pm high water 8 didn't expect much 1st cast colefish, that'll do for a start quick pic and measure 32cm off it went, next cast the dreaded dog fish bites , was hoping this wasn't a dog night , nothing until an hour into the flood then a short tap tap dogfish by the look of it, reeled in and a bit of resistance beached it and there it was the unicorn fish 1st of the year 42 cm get in , crazy how a fish of this size means so much , last cast nothing, all caught on frozen black with chunks of cart
