i doubt if its still alive but there used to be a pike in grafam waters in cambridgeshire that was even spotted to be around the 80lb mark but was never caught not sure wether its an old wives tale.
Yup it's rather "fishy" to say the least:nono: have a proper look at the photo
have a look at his right hand...the tail on the pike looks a bit weird but fake or real ??? mmmmmmm
Hiya,
Yup it's rather "fishy" to say the least![]()
No idea if it is real or fake, but part of the tail is hidden behind a piece of ice, probably from making the hole he is holding it over.the tail on the pike looks a bit weird but fake or real ??? mmmmmmm
theres record perch in chew mate without a doubt!!I know that there are some big pike in some of the irish lochs. I was fly fishing once on Lough conn and my ghillie told me of a pike that had been found washed up on the shore that had had 2 salmon in its belly!!!! He says he thought the fish was bordering the 70lb mark!! Im sure that some of those lochs muct have record breaking pike in them.
Some people thihk that there is a record pike in my local resevoir, Chew Valley. PIke have been caught in excess of 40lb in there, some touching 50lb! Considering the amount of trout stocked in that lake, it wouldnt surprise me.
Im sure there are bigger pike than that about somewhere. Only time will tell i guess.
