fished west worthing beach last nite from about 9 till 12:30, had quite a few bites which only resulted 3 schoolie bass just over a foot in length.

fished goring yesterday at 11am by the green had 2 small bass and a nice 30cm plaice

i was catching bass on lug only about 30- 40 yards out. Went quite about 1 hour b4 high tide.

i was using the same bait as you and casting the same distance as you! and had 2 good flounders, and a nice flounder, also about 30 cm, and a 4 inch gilthead bream. i will let you tell your story. all my fish were caught using your lug!

ok scaffscazz i'l tell the story.
saturday 19th caught 8 bass up to about 35cm,
all fish caught between 20 and 40 yards out.
but i have to admit i missed more bites than i landed.
sunday 20th. i fished the tide coming in, i mean 60 yards before
the stones. light bass rod and float 5 yards out, yes 5 yards out.
first cast missed a bite ,second cast straight under, mullet about
1 1/4 lbs, then 3 small bass.
waited till the tide reached the stones and tryed again with
the float, first cast small bass (5ins )next cast mullet about 1 lbs
then 2 more small bass, all caught no more than 5 yards out.
these fish were caught on lugworm
I did'nt catch as many fish on the rising tide as saturday but
TOM and SCAFFSCASS caught thier fair share

lug was the bait of choice, that day nothing wanted me reds.

went down to Goring beach yesterday aload of bites but non got hooked

if you keep getting alot of missed bites try using a smaller hook, i use a size for this time pf year.
