wats the best bait and rigs to be using ??

is it true that small hardback crabs are good for the bigger specimens??

They sure are! Use under a float.
A good free bait is limpet, or rag worm does the trick just as good as anything else.

hard backs and hermits normally get the bigger 1s. take the legs and claws of a hard backs and cut them in half and stick it all on a strong hook!!!

can use bigger hard backs too just cut them in quarters. Great fun on light tackle and a float except when they get in their bolt holes!

Doi you use a hacksaw to cut up the hardbacks ?:secret:

Not forgetting those other essential tools of the hardback user ,pliers nutcrackers,claw hammer and a diamond bit black and decker.:clap3:
Ex Penn chump don't need any of that stuff...........just uses his teeth:showoff: :crazy:

Alternatively, just use small hardbacks about the size of a fifty pence piece or slightly bigger, leave legs and claws in place to wave about enticingly, wrap an elastic band tightly round it between the leg sockets and use the elastic band to hold the hook in place. Bait stays alive, lasts well and wrasse are very happy to grab the whole blinking lot!
