a good tip.....

wrecksite will only give you the gps numbers if you pay 25 euros a year to become a member. go to local diving sites like chippenham divers - they have lots of very good info on there and of course you get the gps numbers for free. once you have located your wreck and you know the name then go to wrecksite and punch in the name for more info about the wreck.

This list here gives gps numbers for 62 wrecks around the isle of wight

some of the local dive sites also have video clips or digital stills of the wrecks - you can see all the fish on them!!!

You may want to look at wrecktours on Divernet.

They have many wrecks listed and show info from Divers about what they are like now, with drawings and photo's.


Here is a link to the the Aoelian Sky a very big well dived local wreck to us here at Poole. I believe its No 27.
It shows which end is broken and best for eel fishing
