After finally getting a break in weather headed out this evening to bounce an xlayer for a while (for me the best bass lure ever to grace a line) a few schoolies and a couple of nice ones coming on dark.

 Oustanding ! Went out this evening myself. One nibble but no cigar ! could see them on the top in amongst and at the edge of the weed beds. Good to know they are there though. What is the exact name of those lures - will have to try a couple !

Top class Tommy...the xlayer never ceases to amaze me at just how good it is, I always have to have a cast with it after I fish through an area with plugs and more often then not it catches fish which I must have covered with the plugs saving many a blank!!

Brilliant. I wish the fishing was as good as that around my area.

How do you fish the Xlayers on jig heads? Bounce them along the bottom? Do you fish them the same as you would a slug go?
