:bangin:Fished on the Noss Mayo side on the mouth of the yealm, after a massive hike cos i didnt know where to park, fished the outgoing tide ( do not know if this is the best time to go ) with Lug ( no bites at all ) sandeel and squid wrap and winkled out 6 doggies on pulley pennels, not wot i would have liked as a couple of snorklers said they saw loads of fish, but at least fish were landed, bit dissapointed as i heard it was fishing well!!!!!!! any ideas where i went wrong??????:whistling:whistling

never believe a snorkler , what they and what they tell you are to different things . they properbly saw sandeels , rock gobys and the odd pollack or wrasse . where as you are thinking rays and bass !!!

ive only had success there really during the evening /night time - too busy during the day and as the water is so clear there the fish can get spooked - especially if there are snorkers swimming around. heard of big ray coming from there though and bass to free lined sandeels and joey mackerl
