Hello Folks,

I had this rod for a couple of years and I'm very happy with it, but I've heard that the best casting weight is 4oz and it is only to be used over clean ground. I would be grateful if anyone could shed anymore light on the rod.

Cheers,

I use mine with 5 to 6 oz no probs. This is a really tough rod dispite how slim it is. It is my no 1 match rod at present. I can also plug in a standard Primo butt to take it over 15 ft. It is more than capable of pulling out 3 shots all day. I am very impressed with this rod. I fish it low down multi. So nice to use, so easy to cast. Very highly recomended.

I use it over clean ground as it is my match rod, I use a heavier rod for rougher ground. Fish wise you can land any fish on any rod so long as you take you time. I have landed Cod up to 5lbs during matches on beaches.
