like has been mentioned by adam it all depends on what sort of ground you fish and of course what the rod is going to be used for, when i was talking to you in north east tackle yesterday it sounded like you where going in to it blind. As was sugested to you in the other thread in the NE section if you dont want to spent a big lump on a century have a look at the afaw range of rods the 6 n bait mk1 or even the 6 n bair mark2 are brilliant rods and will cope with the rough stuff and also has a brilliant tip for bite detection. Centurys are brilliant rods the Komp ss is a beast so is the wr300 and are both rough ground rods where the tippy sport and komp sport are both good alround rods, the tippy match is a good mixed to clean ground rod also, tippy supermatch is no good in the rough as it is a little to soft. The carbon metal range of rods are also good but as lobster man stated in your other threrad about there being loads of different tippys there is loads of different carbon metals.
If you want to come and have a look at my komps ttsm and bb get your mate to ring me and ur more than welcome to pop up.
