Not quite up to the standards of a number of anglers further to the east in Sussex with me failing to get a bite when I joined Simon for a couple of bait sessions in the week, I think he did four bait sessions in the end for I think 3 small Bass two under 40cm and one just over, despite others success my hearts not in the bait fishing at the moment although as the nights draw in it's starting to become more appealing but in the mean time it's been lure angling that I'm enjoying at the moment although that's also been harder work than the previous few seasons. Nothing big caught but a couple of reasonable ones of 2lb1oz and 2lb10oz in amongst some sub 2lb fish all of which seem to be fighting well for their weight, nice to catch a few on new lures and locations I haven't tried before, I say "new" lures but the soft plastic I think was discontinued about 10yrs ago but has been lurking in Simon's tackle bag for a lot longer!

all bass on lures are great bass,:clap3::clap3:must be some lumps mooching about with that lot surely?come over to the darkside early and get back on the baits lively andy:thumbs:
I bought those Slimey Slugs in 1990, and if you hadn't caught a bass on one they would probably have gone with me to that great surf beach in the hereafter.
