Hi Folks, just looking for some advice please. I have just bought a used warrior 165 and wondered if my short shaft 6hp ( from my SIB) would suffice as an auxilary engine to support the warrior? The reason I ask is that its a short shaft and thought auxilary engines need to be long shaft ? Any info would be much appreciated as im fairly new to boating etc. Thanks

Only if the engine runs underwater!.
Unless you Stowe engine then place on stern when needed!. "Risky"
your Aux sits on a flip up/down bracket so when dropped down in use the prop is clear of hull/wash and in clear water to provide propulsion and a short engine won't clear the freeboard on the stern esp as the backwash will drown it.
