Nice fishing mate, I caught my 1st red gurnard a few weeks back, they are lovely looking fish, but surprising thing was i caught mine on mackerel feathers

cheers i agree they are really really bright i didnt relise this until it spread its fins and then the magic began lol very pretty fish

i had photos until i tryed to down load them to my computer now i cant seem to see where they are but i did get out my tide table book and the picture matched the red gurnard by the colours

Hi there its 204trotter i was the one who fished with you down ferring on friday night need your help where did you get that head light from i was very impress with that so if you could help:help:.We stayed there till 15.00 on sat had NO fish.Went down to hythe got there about 16.45 started to fish just some small whiteing got about 07.20.sunday morring allwell always next time.Keep up the good fishing can`t wait till winter will be out a lot moore.Thanks again:fishing1:

im not sure either way when my fins on mine was open they where blue around the edge so maybe they are both tub`s?

Nice fishing, but whilst we are playing fish ID I feel it only fair to point out that both those flatfish are flounders. Interesting comparison of markings though!!
