Can someone tell me the best place to get charts for Loch Etive and any other west coast estuaries, I am new to the boating scene so just learning (making mistakes), second time out on loch Etive and slightly run aground at the mouth of the river Awe, lucky though no damage done, the fish finder alarm was not set.
Thanks to the 2 other guys who helped us retrieve our boat at Taynuilt when the water was rough and very windy 3 weekends ago.
All the best

I have the full charts. Look great in black in white. You cannot get electronic charts for the full Loch but the paper charts still cover it. More than welcome to have a look next time your in Glasgow. "copying them is illegal":whistling. But you could borrow them...

Reply a bit late maybe, but as we are going up to Etive for a week's boat fishing next Saturday I lashed out on an up to date Admiralty chart of the loch that goes right up to the top. Turns out that the depths and bottom info is based on the 1886 survey. You can download a old chart giving this from the website that Chalky posted. OK, it's all in sepia and the depths are fathoms, but what the hell, it's free.

Cheers

Garmin Blue Chart Atlantic covers the loch right up to the head.
