went in the pier tackle shop and sara had a berkley cherrywood 40-80grms 10 foot 2 piece for 25 quid so i bought it hope it performs well any one used one?

 

fladen vantage 5-30g,7ft,£20. have had 30+ bass to 3lb on mine (bought it for a laugh to get a better fight from our local bass this year and it ait missed a beat yet)

 

try a cheap carp rod i have uaed for years great for mackey,pollock etc

 

around the 40 quid think the leeda is 35 quid dont want to spend that much but need a rod that will handle the fish and you can use for a few hours with out breaking your arm

Not sure how cheap you mean by "cheap", but I think the Shakespeare Odyssey rods are worth a look. I am using an Ugly Stik lite rod which you can get for about £40, and is very robust, and maybe worth considering.

 

I'm not familiar with their spinning rods but I recently bought a Leeda 15/17' float rod and I'm impressed...nice build quality and blank, light and strong.

If it's cheap enough, give it a go...just rinse it in fresh water and it will probably last ten years...:laugh:
