I fear you will wait a long time for help with this one Mick!! Don't take this personally, but I doubt anyone will give up their spots to a member, who has only posted 16 times.......certainly not publicly.

I was in your position not so long ago mate and IMHO, the best way to move forward, is to make friends with (and subsequently fish with) other members. You will soon find that they will be happy to share all sorts of info.

Some people on here like to give the impression that they are mean and nasty......but they are a good bunch really!! :bleh:

Lancing / Worthing is generally quite easy blow lugworm digging on the beaches. No need to be secretive becasue there's loads of beach to dig, just look for the worm casts of course.
Thanks for that Simon.........I have no knowledge of the area with regards digging etc (most spots in Hampshire that I dig, although not strictly 'secret', are not advertised too much as they are generally small areas of quite concentrated worm, where only a few people can realistically dig at any given time).

Mick, I have watched your 'car sharing' thread with interest......I do head to Sussex and Kent occasionally, mostly for meets generated on here (Oi Hugh....when is the next Breakwater meet?! lol ).

I would be more than happy to show you the delights of South Parade pier in Southsea (it is not as bad as some people say, my pb bass...see avatar, came from there)....you just sometimes need to be 'firm' with the odd local eedjit!

I also fish the marks around Lymington fairly regularly (Milford Shingle bank, the White House, Barton on Sea, Hurst Castle and Hordle Cliffs etc...) and would be happy to help you blank or catch weed there also!!

Drop me a pm mate.

I dug some lug in Worthing a while ago right behind Prime Angling, though I walked out a bit on a very low tide. Digging was easy and the lug was a reasonable size with a few white rag in between too. Like JudgeP said, finding a spot to dig lug is easy. Red rag is another issue, as you're not allowed to dig on river banks. Driving from London, time is usually better spent fishing and just buying the bait. Lagoon Bait & Tackle may even have reds...

Worthing and Lancing have abundant lug beds, the hard part is finding the slightly bigger ones and they can be anywhere. You just have to stroll along and look for patches of larger casts.
These can be anywhere as the seabed changes quite a lot when we have storms and one days worm bed may not be there 2 days later !
