On a RNLI prog the other day the yaker ( not an angler) fell out of the windy weather yak onto the outrigger and fractured it so it filled with water and turned the yak on its side .

After being rescued and making sure they are ok the extreme sports nuts should receive a firm thud in the nadgers and a bill !;)

Not so sure, they have to be fixed securely and if not could lead to holes/fractures in the hull and on a different tack could lead to going out in unsuitable conditions
They are made properly. The foam rollers are cut in half with joints and pipe inside them. Also my pipework is filled with expandable foam.
And the stabilizers attached behind my seat where my yak already has a place for stabilizers.
All tested and works great.
I have a technical head and it it didn't work I would make it work

The stabilisers would only fill with water if they are hollow, if they are mounted behind the seat and not intruding the paddles then I personally think they are good. I know some will always disagree, but everyone is entitled to an opinion. It is not for everyone, if we was all the same we would all have black BMW X5. I would of liked to see more pics during construction but it sounds good to me.
