Fished ferrybridge yesterday arrived 5.00pm and headed towards the
bird sanctuary I had visions of trudging up to the bridging camp but found room at the sanctuary where we set up camp frozen blacks and squid wraps cast as far as I could manage,my mate feathered for mackerel and 3 cast,s he had enough fresh bait as he wanted to fish for tope/big bass/conger I just wanted cod.
my baits were being stripped in minutes but I did manage 2 small congers (bootlaces) my mate laughs and says that's about all your going to manage,

barry lands a decent sized conger on fresh Mackie but before I could take a pic the fish has thrown the hook and slides down the bank to freedom I say oh what a shame, I landed a couple of jumbo pout and then I land what I came for first of many I hope but one will do for now.
I know this has been said a thousand times on this forum but please take your crap home and not left on the beach or try and hide it by burying its bad etiquette and puts all us anglers in a bad light sorry but I had to say something.

Sorry about photobombing in the 4th photo, Did you have any luck on the peelers i gave to you after i left? I was the young lad next to you.
hi I did,nt use them but my mate made a lug and peeler sausage
had no joy so went back to using his big Mackie baits over low water
things went quiet probably should of packed up then but you know how it is with the just one more cast no need to apologise I just click away

Well done mate its good to get the first one under your belt. I also hate litter left on the beach. But a whole lot of that rubbish is from elsewhere, the beach was a bit grubby on Weds but the blow overnight covered the beach in all sorts of sh1te.
