Thats a lovely fish. What type of area did you catch it and what time of year is best? I've heard recently that one or two have been caught in my area in herring nets.

i don't know my lures, but have to agree it looks strange, a bit like a camera strap.
nice fish though.

 

the lure is by tackle house its a p-boy casting jig 25g goes like a bullet and where i caught it was at sea near the mouth of an estuary.

I had a 13lber years ago on a Rebel J30 plug.Fright of my life,thought it was a small bass knocking at it as retrieved.Bang&flipping eck,Bass are plodders by comparison.It took a good 30yrds in no time.But came in pretty painlessly after that.Not as dogged as a similar sized Bass.But a total fluke i shall never forget-i would've done the lottery that week if it had been going then&who knows i could've been sitting in my solid gold house by now:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Well done Ioxia. I had a seatrout jump several times in front of me today as I was plugging. I was using a baby feed shallow but had no hook ups. Any recommendations on seatrout lures? Might give it a bash Monday.

Thats the lure. Seen quite alot of these type of lures around, meant to cast miles. Do they have much action when retrieved or do you have to jerk them around?

cracker the maria parade is - had a mullet nail one proper over where I met you Pat - my first ever "not foulhooked" mullet on lure it was

Love those Kiltys - but cant get them in the UK. Equally love the Viva Parade, both lures worked for me in Youghal for bass....

Cool! Would you expect to catch them on the drop? I was thinking of fishing the flood as i assume they're heading up to the rivers. Do they normally show this early?
