Not sure if its a bit early but I was going to do a bit of mackerel fishing tomorrow at Hythe. Will take feathers and will also buy some lug. Never fished at Hythe before so can anyone give me any information on where is the best place to fish etc. Will only be fishing an hour before high tide and about 2 hours after. Any tips would be appreciated.

See you haven't had a reply, sorry i don't know that way. Avoid office hours now as fish bugger off in bright sunshine and clear water, might be the odd plaice or school bass. After 6pm as the sun gets lower fish will move in like dogs, pout and eels for your lug and mackeral shoals would come in casting range if clear.
Hope helps.
