sorry hit wrong key should be 2010 not 2910!!!!

Braved the wind today to use up some bait from the weekend.
arrived at the end of the jetty hour before low and fished hour either side of low for a few dabs, only one fish and that was a dab 3" long!!! plenty of little rattles and loads of crabs but nowt else.

moved on to the stem and fished in the shallows one up one down rigs and first cast had a small flounder about 10cm. followed by another at 28 cm. next cast a double shot of tea bags!!
this was followed by another of 31 cm. then another at 30 cm and then a tea bag and one 38 cm on the last cast.

it was difficult keeping the hooks baited as my hands seemed to have lost all feeling although they did not actually feel cold strangely.

took three home for the pan all males, the biggest and last one was a spent female so they are starting to come back after spawning.

lets hope the cod and rays hurry up and return then we can get back to some decent reports.

Saw you up there- was you the fella on the push bike?
Glad you had a few for your efforts ,must have been a bit nippy when the sun went in .
No there was two of them but they retired to teh lobstersmack for a pint or three after blanking. i prefer to walk. it was a chill wind to say the least but i was warm by the time i got back to the lobster smack.

At least you caught some. thought there would be more dabs about as water is still cold.
maybe i should have use a pennel rig baited with whole squid!!! that always seems to work.
