Pendulum Casting

I was out yesterday Practising.. I have only really started pendulum casting.. still quite alot to work on... from what i see is that the initial swing is to low and im losing momentum and im still not keeping the left arm straight coming round...
let me know what u guys think?

You need to push down with your left hand to start the inswing, that'll speed it up. Make sure you keep your right hand still while doing so.

And yes, you need a longer drop.

Lokos like a good base to build form though.

You need to lengthen the drop to at least the top of
your right hand slow it down a touch and keep your
arms straight. Better still do as MGC says and get
yourself down to a casting event,there you will have
instructors and lots of help with your casting for less
than a pound of worm and a good craic to boot
