ok you guys .
as the title says the brickworks.
i am wondering if anyone as fished here and whats it like. as google earth shows some nice spots ,maybe even for the fish!!!!!i see it everytime we go out with gethyn(myway) and think i wouldnt mind trying there.
the other thing is i can see the 5025 and where i could possibly park ,but it looks like a trek across fields to get to it. as i cannot see any road leading to it . again thanks for any info .:thumbs::thumbs:

Only fished it once, had a 2.5 lb wrasse. It's a fair old walk through grass and bushes!! don't know where to start on directions!!
i got directions chiefy . it looks like theres alittle lay by(to park) and then either over a gate or style then a fair old walk. i just was wondering if its ok to do this and as anyone else fished it . as it looks a decent spot ,yes for wrasse. just what i thought wen i saw it. from the pics on google it looks an interesting place.
thanks chief.

you could always park at the caravan park, run by little old lady, charges £2 to park and leave car overnight and as Chiefbeef says it is a bit of a walk. Last time I went it was a bit of a sh1t tip.
A few Congers down the wall though.

i wouldn't bother tojo m8! a long walk for nowt! fished there a few times over the years, shore and boat(on windy days)

its a sandy/shingle bottom plenty of doggies/whiting, the odd wrasse and pollack, which you will get from 99% of the anglesey rock marks,

Tojo, not seen it with me mate. It's further around the corner - you may may have seen it when you've been out of Cemaes.

It's a great place to go just for the scenary and history. Here's a great link to local history and Porth Wen in particular http://www.penmorfa.com/porthwen/

The Mark we usually fish is over the hill to the right of the brick works.

we call it Suicide Rock as its a right bugger to get down and even worse at night or if its damp. you really need to be careful here.

fishing wise. I have never fished a place like it. we used a half pound of ragworm in 20 minutes the other summer fishing for wrasse though we usually tend to fish for Conger and Huss which are plentyful.

I remember fishing there one night with my two mates. I spent the whole night running up and down landing my own and the others fish, nothing smaller than 6lb every chuck. I never thought I could get board catching Huss and Conger Here you can!

Very Very Deep mark I usually fish 40lb line to 100lb hook trace.

good luck

Tojo,
Think your quest for fish and venues is great, hope you get your species for 09.
Coastman
thanks
coastman.
due to work and kids i dont get togo fishing as much as id like . but i have been given afew marks that hopefully boost my species from the shore for o9:blink:
but its not just the fishing coastman its the getting out
and finding the places and enjoying the surroundings and the scenery. the brickworks looks like somewhere you could sit and photograph all day. and also catch afew fish. also when i go its usaully on a wednesday/thursday again due to my shift pattern. so its usually quite and so can enjoy the place to ourselves usually. ive still got at least 3 visits to wales shore fishing before the new year. first been the 27th nov. so this time will be spent looking for the places ive been given. and maybe come across somewhere diff too. as last time i found where tycroes was. and fished rosignier/cablebay.:thumbs:heres to end of 08 and the start of 09:boxing:
