What a days fishing! jarrod took us somewhere up the thames not too far from the gun turrets, our target fish for the morning were roker and cod.... we werent disappointed! we had loads of roker, one weighing in at 5lb, 3 or 4 at around 6lb, 1 at 7lb and 2 at just under 11lb. it was a beautiful morning, calm sunny and fairly warm.... I was catching whiting for fun whilst everyone else was getting the roker, got myself a nice cod and a couple of pout. one bloke fishing next to me didnt have a bite for hours until his rold tip started to bounce around like no ones business, it looked like he was into a whopper! as i readied the net i was suprised to see a bloody great lobster break water! 3 1/2 lbs worth!
Anyway around 4pm the wind had got up and it had clouded over so we headed back towards canvey, we ancoured up somewhere near canvey point and as soon as the ancour was set we were into the fish! 1 minute after casting out i'd hooked a nice big codling and it was like that for the next few hours codling after codling after codling for everyone... my biggest was about 4lb... finally we called it a day about 20:30 and returned to wholehaven creek. what a day! it knackered me out. Oh how i forgot how good boat fishing was. Gonna sign up to the canvey fishing club tomorrow night as i need more of a fix!
Still feels like im on a boat the room keeps moving! lol :wiggle:

Hi Rambo, Nice to meet you and have a good day's fishing on Saturday. It started a bit slow for me, but when the boat swung round, I managed 7 Codling between 2-4 lbs and a PB Roker of 10 lbs 4 ozs.

It was nice to catch up with Gerrod again after all these years too.

Great trip, let me know when you arrange another one.

PS. I had Dangler fishing next to me all day, If I knew that he was potentially that dangerous, I'd have brought a hard hat with me!!:bangin:

Nice to meet you all, see you soon, Tight Lines.

looks that way... all the local boats seemed to be in the same sort of area as us saturday and they all got in on the act so looks like they are well and truely here in force! :victory:
