Road to the point at Dungey VERY ICY!!!!!!!!

Hi all

Just a word of advice, the road to the point and Lydd area are leathal. Very Icy no gritt and even walking on it was trecherous.

Firstly I walked there and back so did not involve any driving!!!! My head is fine thanks tho.

Hodgey that's cool walking there but I'm talking about people traveling down there it's madness and it's not fishing that great is it? There nothing about this end
...quite agree its utter pants !!!...waste of time re all the effort gathering bait and risking life and limb ending up in a duit !!!!....u can always risk it and there is always the chance of a fish but !!! best left till prevailing conditions r conducive to good codding !! i wish anyone the best of luck trying though !! mad ba*****s lol...foxy52

Think you are mad I live 10mins away and would not chance driving there the temp was minus 6 at lunch today . The roads are in a terrible state . A gritter skidded of the road down at dungie this morning . Be sensible stay at home it will be gone in a few more days .

the road to work for me are like they are at dungy.

i have to go to work this weekend but i dont have to fish.

be careful if u do go down there or anywhere else.if i wasn't working i still wouldn't bother with it.

Warmer??? That was a freezing fog!! I work an Dungeness and the roads were appauling!! AI heard about the snow plough getting stuck and a cople of cars that went off the road near the quarry! When i left this evening my car said outside temp.......-9

Best advice just dont GO,never mind the slowing down on the skids and all that,dam right Dangerous conditions,fish will be ther another day whats the rush?has been posted, chap works there and has stated its a no no

Minus 20 ! Pah! thats tropical. In my day we had to drag the boat accross a glacier just to get to the water. Even then we had to snap the frozen penguins off the slipway just to get the boat onto the ice. We used to drink 20 pints of whisky each so that we had enough pee to melt a hole to float the boat in.....
