Fished Salthouse with Bassboy78 on Friday night. Got down at about 10.30 and 'fished til 9am. (HT 8.40pm)
Pretty quiet during the ebb with a couple of small bass, a pout and a couple of whiting. The rain came in at about 2am so we bunked down in our beach buddies and slept through it. There's something really therapeutic about the sound of rain on tent fabric and I slept like a baby til about 5.30am.
The fishing picked up in the morning as the tide flooded (and Bassboy finally woke up) with bassboy getting a keeper and a couple of schoolies and me finding the schoolies closer in.
My fish caught mostly on lug with a couple on crab between 10-80yds and Roger caught his on crab at 80-100yds.
It was a great night to be out and Roger was great company on the rare occasion that he was awake!
Fair play to him though as he hadn't had any sleep for about 3 days, what with digging bait for us!
