After my trip down here last Monday evening and with a 2 month old baby that doesn't like to sleep it didn't take much to realise i would be better off loading my gear and taking the short drive over to 'the Bay' unselfishly leaving the bab to the missus as me working night's i didn't want to disrupt her routine....:yeah: (i pray she never finds this forum!!).

Drove up to the gate by the slip arriving about 9:30pm to see quite a few peeps already at it, maybe up to 20 danglers but no cars so i pop the motor in my usual spot, on the beach. Who put those silly little wooden posts there anyway?? Dropping concrete in to shingle and pokeing a post into it doesn't work! lol!

I took the short walk past the gate to the first convenient space which was immediately past the first set of proper posts sticking out the beach. Set-up and launched some bluey just in time before the wind came in force and the skies opened up, wondering what i had let myself in for this soon past and i survived unscathed. Had a little knock and wound up a doggie.

My mate 'Jimmy the foriegner' turned up around 11pm after peeler crabbing by the hundreds.... he came bearing gifts in some fresh peelers in search of a hound and my new Daiwa tdz 136 surf (cracking rod, shocking pocket)! Another reason i hope she dont read this!!

About 11:20 had a nice little nodding action going on and wound in to my first Roker of the evening. Landed, weighed and returned to get bigger he went 5.5lb. In my hurry and scurry to return him to the drink i forgot to photograph this one but im not telling porkies.

00:30 ive got another typical (smaller) Ray bite but this one was feeling a lttle bit better. Landed, weighed and photographed this little bitch went 8lb :clap3:

High water was around 01:30 and doggies and pup hounds were plentiful in between any ray action. Then about 02:30 sitting there chatting sh@t with Jimbo, my rod arches over, butt comes off the deck and im in again:fishing1: this one put up a struggle and i knew it was definately bigger than the earlier two. Got her to the beach and she weighed in just under 11lb and i was over the moon.

So three Ray's with a combined weight of around 24lb i had one more cast and decided to call it a day (or night if you like) about 3am. Poor old Jim had nothing on the ray front but he did have a beauty of a birds-nest to accompany his doggies.
All in all another good outing made even better by the fact we both should of been at work (he works with me) but i ensured we got paid.... result :clap2:

Downside is that i am still up writing this as the missus aint as stupid as she looks. So upon returning home i now have the baby downstairs so she can sleep-in (inconsiderate b@tch)!! I wondered why it was so easy to escape the house on the way out. Damn!

All fish returned safely to the water for someone else to enjoy. Pics will be added later when lazy gets up to do it cos im good but not that good.....lool.

Tight lines peeps
Polska (but im not Polish)

Cheers mate. As i said, surprisingly a lot on anglers but not a vehicle in sight. Im pressuming people are dubious about all the wheel clamp signs that have appeared..? Me personaly (without sounding arrogant or obnoxious in any way) i couldn't give two hoots about the patrol fella, wheel clamp signs or anything that goes with it. As judging by tonight in which no-one parked up there, its scare-mongered people already. Whereas if say all ten+ anglers parked up there in protest im sure the old boy wouldn't have more than one wheel clamp (if any) let alone ten+!! Its a beach, i want my rightful access to it and that i shall seek lol. Im not obstructing anyone/thing, im making no noise whatsoever and im not causing a nuisance or leaving mess laying about. Im sure some agree and some disagree, we are all individual, free to express our opinion within reason and ultimately responsible for our actions whatever they my be

Lucky: 6 is a nice haul.... any weights listed on your source? There was def plenty of people down there, and at chequers from what i could see.

Not one to stir the fire, but really Sandwich bay residents should be more aware of the law. It is illegal to tow or clamp a car on private land, since the 1st October. Threatening to do so, suddenly sounds illegal in itself. It is certainly an empty threat. The only people allowed to clamp or tow are police, council, or contractors working on their behalf. If they dont want you parking by the beach, park on their drives.

Being very careful of course that you don't break more serious laws such as trespass which I'm sure you meant to add rob ;)

I always used to park on the dirt road at the rear of the yatch club .it is only a short walk to the slipway from that point and never had any probs . But that was in the old days before chavery . I personally prefer to avoid confronting any locals about parking and always try to be as low profile as possible . With the worry of where to park your car securely and not upsetting locals to boot ,nowadays make me think twice as to the venues i choose to fish. Apparently its called progress ??????.

Removing Trespasser from Land: Charging Practice
Section 61 CJPOA (Stones: 8-24900) enables a police officer to direct trespassers on land (who are there with the common purpose of residing there for any period) to leave the land where the occupier has taken steps to ask them to do so, and either:

they have damaged the land; or
they have used threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour to the occupier, the occupier's family, employees or agents; or
between them they have 6 or more vehicles on the land.
Failure to obey a direction to leave or returning to the land as a trespasser within 3 months is an offence.

Section 62 provides a power for the police to seize vehicles of persons failing to comply with a direction under s6 1.

The senior officer present at the scene has to believe that the conditions set out in s 62(1) have been fulfilled. Evidence that they were fulfilled in fact will be relevant only in an inquiry into the questions whether the senior officer held the belief and whether, if he or she did, the belief was reasonably held. A defendant charged with an offence under the section (or, for example, charged with assaulting a police office in the execution of her or his duty) will be entitled to raise these questions. Although a successful defence along these lines is likely to be rare, the senior police officer will need to provide evidence in all cases justifying his or her giving of a direction.
