i've allways purchased them from Veals ... isn't the whole Varivas brand a Veals exclusiveness ? I don't know any other brand making semi-circle hooks .
Anyway , the more i use them , the more i like the Varivas semi-circles

I think they are a Veals own brand!

 

Sakuma 440's are classed as semi's and I have used them with good results.

 

Yeah they are I think the best for our shores .used them in Cuba ..shocking ......snapper just crunched them gt,s just straightened them when they didn,t snap.

 

varivas is veals own brand but sakuma also do very similar patterns as do tronix pro....

 

Owner do a circle vmc also do them quality hooks but pricey

 

Loads of different makes out there look on the bay you can get a hundred good quality ****** hooks for £3 use em all the time boat and beach.dead f....n easy.

 

I had some sample semi circle jobbies from Koike sent in recently .... they look okay but not tried them yet. Has anybody else used them out of interest?

 

Got to agree with Chezz on this check out websites there are hundreds of them out there just google circle hooks and up they pop pages of them

 

Varivas - Sakuma, same stuff same factory.

Buy Sakuma and pay more.

I have used a few different circles when abroad, and am thinking about using them as the top hook on a Pennel, the problem is that the hooks I have left from Australia bear no resemblance size wise to the UK ones,they are much smaller than a standard "J"bend hook, can anybody recommend a branded circle about the size of a UK 3/0 ?
