Stopping the bib breaking on Gatarides

Have seen a vid by Graham on youtube explaining that you can file down parts of the bib on the zonk gatarides which helps them with regards to fragility.

Is there anywhere that I can see how this is done? or can anyone explain it in muppets terms. Don't wanna go to work on it and ruin it... Yoro Yoro secret night and I'm expecting great things from this lure this season, wouldn't wanna break it before its even been in the water...

Cheers

The bibs fine as long as it doesnt get hit or banged on structure (last way longer in an estuary lol)
Its such an easy problem for the company to fix..........

Why dont they sort it out,,,,,,,,,I'l do it for them,,,,,just send me the tool.

I wander why they have not sorted it ?

Maybe its not broken - could be that these are designed for clear water & not the rough venues we chuck em at (?)

Or just use standard Zonks - the difference in the depth they run at is not much - 50cm according to Megabass. I think if you're fishing in 6-8 ft of water you won't have a problem using the standard, much stronger zonks.
The Gatarides a floater & the standard zonk is a sinker & does run deeper on a steady retreive (the yoro-yoro Gataride is the v. shallow one)

Standard Zonk runs much deeper that 50cm mate

I said the difference between them is about 50cm. Maybe it's a tad more on the yoro-yoro.

The depth for a standard zonk is around a metre - about the same as an xrap.

Well for me I recon the standard Zonk with a mega thin 8 strand braid runs deeper than 1 meter.........
Super lures though arn't they..............

I found the best way to keep them intact was not to use them:whistling

I bought one to see what all the hype was about but frankly I'm to scared to bust / loose such an expensive lure by chucking it at the shallow snaggy ground I normally fish!

Don't get me wrong I have used it but mainly on stretches with a bit more depth and less snags, It casts great, give's a nice response on the rod tip on the retrieve and looks to have a good action. Does it do well I'm sure it does but for me not even a bite!

The design just seems destine to break IMO.

Think I'll be sticking to lures half the price that I know catch me plenty at the venues I fish.
