went out off weastgate to a well known mark (too many trawler readers for details :thumbdown but if you fish for fun ill tell you the mark :secret: ) well it was flat calm when we left the beach n was fine until we got to the shipping lane n it was a tad lumpy n with the ships passing not far enough away it was worst still plus it was freezing cold n even the buckets of sea water didnt thaw the bait out quick enough but we stuck it out hoping for more than dogs and it did skate after skate.. thanks Gaz for saving my rod n reel as it flew over the back with a big thorny towing it n that evens it out for knocking my biggest off with the landing net..........

put a hole in the snout with a bit of cord through it,throw it out the back,and tow it for about ten minutes,i think you will be surprised how mucn better to skin, they are,you can do it by hand then.Well done on getting out , a bit if hard work skinning

he didnt say about the big double he knocked off though a !!! no more reel trouble its in davie jones locker now :fishing:

I was digging on the beach as u went out thinking to my self wat a nice day for it and maybe one day I'll have a boat lol
