Went down the deeps last night with a mate, excellent night with hardly any wind :yeah:
First cast resulted in a snag and losing everything, time i put another shock leader on and cast out, i was into my next snag, i had around 5 in total and lost around 7 weights, just wasn't my night, my mate was fine and bringing in the doggies, down to my last weight and in frustration i just started to bang them out, no more snags, can't have been casting that far!! as soon as i started to fish, my mate had snags, broke lines when casting and it was my turn to laugh

anyway, a few more dogs later and the guy next to use who we chatted to, struck into what we all thought was a "big un" , as he was bringing it in he fought like hell, added to the big swells made life more difficult, then it appeared, he had a 11lb blonde ray, what a lovley fish (the photo below is abit crap, doesn't show it in its full glory although the guy who caught it had some proud pictures with his speciem)
all around us people were catching doggies and more doggies apart from the guy next to us with the ray!
