Had three days down Aberavon chasing ggs Monday with the fly, seen a few fish in the shallows but not in great numbers so not surprisingly a blank, Tuesday change of tactics went to Dragon but no maddies until next week so plumped for rag. Managed one gg about three quarters of a pound fishing one rod in hand. Wednesday picked up some more rag tried with two light rods this time one with a flowing trace one with a two hook paternoster both rods busy with small school bass few ggs showing but none taken. Got soaked standing on empty beach with distant thunder keeping me on my toes!

I have a bit of a theory that aberavon doesn't fish well without a bit of a swell? was there any movement in the water when you were there.
There were lots of fish moving in ankle deep water on Monday nights low and i suspect they were GG's

Worth giving them a ring about the maddies they said there might be a chance for the weekend, few ggs showing ankle deep as you put it not great amounts though.
Nihat in all about angling has the best maddies,,,,,by a mile...give him a ring to check he not sold out
