Hi all.
I have just spoken to Colin and he says that the mackerel are a bit patchy so he suggests that we buy a load of squid for the ling and he will try to find some mackerel on the day too (if we get out).
I will speak to Weymouth A.C ni the week and make sure that they have some.
Does anybody on the ling trip want me to ask Weymouth A.C to put some asside for them or are you bringing your own??
Please reply a.s.a.p

Also, after speaking to Colin, if the weather is too bad to get out off shore to the Ling wrecks he suggested that he may change the trip to a Flatty trip i.e Turbot, Brill and Plaice same as the trip we are having on the 16th.... Is that o.k with all attending on the 9th?

hi all just to let you know that iv got loads of squid in the freezer if anyone wants me to bring some down for us to use then let me know

iv got no probs with making it a flatty trip either

Nobody offering to take my place up Ray so will have to find some way of sorting out the invalids here and make my way down for the weekend.

Flatty trip is fine, got plenty of squid but won't have any rag?

Just spoke to Colin AGAIN! and he reccons to order some Rag from Weymouth angling just incase which i will do tomorrow.
He also says that if its too bad to get off shore it will be inshore reef fishing which will be Plaice around Portland and couple of other spots which will be bass, bream etc.
If its too bad to get off shore it may be too bad to hit the Shambles for the Turbot.

We may have to re-arrange a date if its too bad, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Will let you all know Saturday night.

I'd much rather get out to the wrecks if we can but if it has to be inshore then so be it

Would it make sense to get some and all chip in?
Hi mate, thats what i meant about the Rag, chipping in just didn't explain meself properly...
Personally i would much rather go out to the wrecks but cant rule the weather!

Looking lumpy either way now

If the weather stays as it is (17/18 mph on the coast and 25 mph offshore) then i'm tending towards voting for cancelling annoying as that is.

I know some of you guys have booked accommodation though so i'm happy to go with the majority.

Sorry lads,

Its off. Just spoke to Colin. Weather gods are not with us.

Colin has given us an alternative date of August 30th which is Bank Holiday Monday.
It wont be a ling trip due to the tides but he will be able to get us on Flatties, Bream and Bass.
I have spoken to Graham T and Codhead and they're up for that along with myself and Dingbat. Does anyone else who was on tomorrows trip fancy it??? Please reply a.s.a.p so i can let him know

Cheers and sorry

Cheers and sorry
Thanks for getting out there and organising an exciting trip Ray, not your fault the weather's against us :clap3:

I'm gutted as i've been dreaming of monster Ling and a few cod and pollock for a few weeks now.

Definately stick me down for the 30th August and hopefully see you next weekend mate.

Lets get a wrecking trip or two in the calender for next year. We can speak to Collin next weekend?

I have spoken to Colin and he said that he has now got next years tides and he suggested that if we want weekends we need to book a.s.a.p as they go pretty quick so we can have a sit down next week with him and sort a few dates out.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A SPECIALITY TRIP THEY FANCY??? i.e. Bass, Conger, Ling, Turbot/Brill/Plaice, Big Blonde Rays??

Please put your suggestions on here a.s.a.p
